Ebay Score...
I am a fairly active person (Fly fish, Mountain/Road Bike, Snow skiing). As most of you know, my GF bought me a A900, which I love. However, I am a bit reluctant to put a body of that quality in a back pack where crashing or immersion in water is a real possibility. So I started looking for a "...

Happiness is...
A clean sensor. Somehow, I got a spot on mine. It was there for a week or so, bugging the $#!+ out of me on vertical sky shots (the only place it was visible). I must have cleaned my lens and filters a dozen times before I figured it out. Took my camera in for a cleaning (that was expensive),...

I am sure Barry and Lonnie can easily replace my 3300+ posts with nonsense, landscapes, and portraits of family members.   As opposed to the same 3 pics of rocky the squirrel that you seem to post over and over? Got any of Bullwinkle the moose? FEED THE TROLL! FEED THE TROLL!

Re: A900 crop vs. A700
This thread is not about wedding shooters and 'pro assignments'...this thread is about what you win and lose when switching to FF from APS-C so please stop trying to change the subject! Contray to what your inflated ego tells you, you cannot control what this tread is about. It is about what ever t...

Re: A900 crop vs. A700
Stock photography, wildlife photography, and sports photography are three of the MOST popular photographic subjects.
I didn't say most common subjects, I said most common pro assignments/jobs.

Re: A900 crop vs. A700
I didn't say there wouldn't be trade offs. I was saying compare apples to apples, identical FOV's. You have set this test up (using identical lens) in a way that you know "you" would win. The reality of the situation is, most pros don't do they kind of photography you seem to be restrictin...

Re: A900 crop vs. A700
The a900 frame must be reduced a lowly 10.7 MP frame to match the a700's FOV with identical lenses. That is the most accurate statement (yellow text added). The user always has the option of changing lenses so both cameras have the identical FOV. You are making seem like that option is impossible. ...

Re: Amazing amount of fine detail captured by the Sony Alpha 900
From the cloud cover it's hard to tell exactly what the original seen would have been. I'll give you a hint dusty, I was racing the sun on this shoot. The light was almost totally gray (flat) all afternoon. The sun kinda just popped out for like 2 mins right as I snapped this. Literally, I was runn...

Re: Amazing amount of fine detail captured by the Sony Alpha 900
This comes from being spoiled by digital photography. I used to shoot events with multiple cameras so that I had multiple ISO films. I could get, 25, 64, 100, 160, 200, 400, 800, 1600 ISO (also others if I wanted B&W) films and had to pre-determine wich I should load. I normally carried 3 or 4 ...
