Hi David.
Yes, it's on The Mound in Edinburgh, taken on the last night of the festive light display.

The other shot is in the grounds of Bothwell Castle during the recent snowfall.

In the 1st shot, the lights from the big wheel really gave me an interesting effect in the long exposure. The monument doesn't always look like that, lol

And I love using my 11-18mm wide angle lens on these kinds of shots.

Thanks for the comments folks. It's great to get feedback from you. And yeah, the Castle does make an interesting subject on it's own, but EVERYONE who visits Edinburgh takes pictures of the Castle.
