David, just some thoughts of mine. I think you would do just fine with the 16mm pancake without stabilization. If it's too dark for a decent shutter speed you might end up throwing it into Handheld Twilight mode anyway, and it's hard to get the soft-blur from body motion with that. I've been seeing ...

Further reason why I'm never going to take the flash out of the box unless it's in the way. Flash is definitely an after-thought for these models.

We'll see if anybody else posts confirming it with their camera also.

Definitely do as mayro 123 suggests, if you want to only shoot jpegs and no post processing, turn up the sharpness a few notches.
