How could you sell your 7D hiccup!hiccup!hiccup!hiccup!hiccup! You should be taken out at dawn and shot. Never mind your photo is beautiful and worthy of being on first in this section.

Re: I am UK press not Euro press :-)

David, I think you should be grateful that it's Edinburgh and not Glasgow. I have to admit that is one area that Glasgow does better than Edinburgh, rain, rain and more rain.

Re: Is this a 'Best Shot' ?

Dr Harout, Thank you for your very kind comments regarding my photograph of the Chaffinch. I think that the quality of the light captured was from my experience quite out of the ordinary and makes me realise that I am going to struggle to produce more the same. Again thanks.

Re: Is this a 'Best Shot' ?

David, Thank you for your comments. The rain streaks don't really show up very well in such a small image here but when full size on the computer screen or when projected they are very clear and the bird even has raindrops on his back. As for the frame size, I did crop a little all the way round the...

Is this a 'Best Shot' ?

Hi ! Thought I would give it a go and send in a photo taken earlier this year with my Sony A700 with a Minolta 300mm f4 G lens+1.4 converter, taken at f6.3, 1/160 secs, ISO 800, on a tripod in the RAIN. I think it shows very well that you can successfully mix the new with the old. It certainly gave ...

Sony DSLR-A700 Digital Field Guide

Beware, After seeing the notice about the above book I thought that I would indulge myself and purchase a copy. I should have been warned when I saw that the order was dealt with in Ireland ( sorry to Irish members and readers, no malice intended, we Scots get plenty of ribbing as well ) Having fill...

Re: Free draw for two Sony Alpha lens books

David, What a beautiful prize to win, I have one of these books and am sure that the lucky winner will be thrilled. The book not only shows the lenses but also some very beautiful photographs from exceptional photographers. All the best to those who enter. :D

David, I have several Minolta, Konica/Minolta lenses ranging from 17mm right up to 400mm, some primes, to which I add the 1.4x or the 2x converters and others are zooms. These have all been used on the Dynax7, Dynax 7D and the Sony A 100 cameras to great effect as witnessed at the late 'Minolta Club...
