I just wondered how these are achieved as I can never seem to recreate... or are they all do in post? Some examples below, which arent mine but the style I am...

Re: Weather Today - In Your Vicinity (2011)
Not today but Friday just gone... luckily this brute of a storm did not hit my home town but 15 miles away allegedly it threw it down with rain and the lightning was amazing. Infact I know that as if I had pressed the shutter 2 seconds earlier I would of had a bolt of lightning in the shot!!! http:/...

Re: The Art of Cross Polarisation
Thanks for the comments. Greg, I achieved this by the following: Gave my PC/Laptop monitor a white background. I then place a clear plastic object on the screen. I then placed my camera on a tripod and attached a circular polariser. On turning the polariser the screen goes black and the psychedelic ...

The Art of Cross Polarisation
Anyone else had a try at this, I used my laptop monitor (white background) and my circular polariser. Great fun to be had and now on the hunt for more clear plastic objects!!! Re: Looking up the beach
It certainly is Blackpool Tower Birma, draped in scaffolding.
I do think that the circ pol would of caught this shot alot better, but surprisingly enough at high tide on a blustery day it does not seem to have come out that bad.
And you right is was damn choppy out there.![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

Looking up the beach
http://i55.tinypic.com/2yphnax.jpg Taken @ Cleveleys Beach, near my home town of Blackpool on my first fathers day out with wife and baby. Had to get out as the weather was windy but bright. Downside I forgot my bloody circular polariser so this could of been better. Used my Sigma 24-70mm f2.8, whi...

Re: What would be a suitable upgrade from A200
I have been doing photography now for just over 2 years and feel that my A200 is starting to under perform. I'm not currently in the the market for a new DSLR but I obviously will be in the future and wondered in the current market what would be a good choice of Sony DSLR to go for.... been reading...
