Re: Challenge #48: "Look Where I've Been This Summer"-ends O

That is the Nett river in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, My brother and I own 120 acres there and the river runs through part of it.

Nice relaxing shot of New Orleans, we were thinking of going there this Fall, we'll see what happens.

Re: Dirty Digital Photos

That is a VERY dirty sensor. You took that shot @ f22 you said and it certainly will show up at the setting. I'm surprised that you didn't see the spots @ f8 even.

Great pictures Sury, I use to live in Fairbanks (and other parts of Alaska) and I always enjoy seeing photos from there. I have several shots of the pipeline and it is an interesting subject. Thanks for posting.

Re: Sigma 17-70 vs Sony 16-50 and Zeiss 16-80

I have the Sigma 17-70 and am pleased with the results. I've started using it as my main vacation lens along with my 50 f1.7. I've even used a 2X TC with it and had no problems. I have many shots with this lens that I've not had to post process (except for cropping) and I'll say it is as sharp as my...

Here in the suburbs of Chicago, it's going for $4.39 gal. I'm lucky in that I'm retired and don't have to drive much but it's still a pain at the pump !

Re: A landscape photo! Ireland

I like it ! We were in Ireland in 2009 and got some amazing shots. It is a very photogenic country and has many interesting sites. Glendalough was one of our favorites for photos. And of course the Powerscourt Estate is beautiful. Keep posting more shots.
