MS ICE v/s Photostitch - 2 images
Ed, I agree that MS ICE seems to do better with A mode shots. Here is the same stitch using Photostitch (that came with Canon) and MSICE. You can see the bands in the former image. with best regards, Sury A100, A mode, hand held using Photostitch software came with Canon http://farm4.static.flickr.c...

Re: Panorama with MS ICE
Ed, That is one of the more dramtic Panos I have seen. Fantastic. You are tempting me to go buy some Zeiss glass. :) I am tempted to redo one of my A100 Panos from Lake Tahoe a year go after seeing your work. With best regards, Sury It may be the recommended method to use manual for stitching most p...

Re: In car + A900 + Sunset+ 50 1.4 + SSS + dynamic range + luck
Sonalta, Still no luck. I thought your site might be blocked by my K9. So I tested each of the three sites in your posting and none of them are blocked. I refreshed the thread but still no luck. Frank, I am able to go to Pbase without any problems. Also, your images in the thread can be seen. I am h...

For some reason I am not able to see Sonalta's work on lattiboy's image and Frank's image too. I am able to see other images in the thread.
Am I missing something here?

Re: Panorama with MS ICE
Isn't that accomplished by A mode where Camera is making sure the same amount of light is incident on the sensor? That is what I did. Hmm!!! In the situation I was in; Wide open space and bright afternoon Sun, I could have gone with f8/f11 instead of f5.6 (I think) to make sure I don't have FF issue...

Re: Panorama with MS ICE
Alfonso, I agree with you about getting lucky yesterday. :) I read somewhere that A mode is better than Auto or S or M because it is easier to PP an exposure variance due to shutter speed than due to DOF. Is there a better way of doing it other than shoot fast before lighting changes? :) Good sugges...

Re: Minolta MD Lenses modified on A900?
I have used MD/MA adapter (bought on Ebay for US$15.00) on my A100 quite effectively for the last one year. It is possible my photos are pedastrian but I am a rank amateur who enjoys photography and experimenting. So far I have done reasonably well with the following adapters for MA mount. T2 -> MA ...

Re: Panorama with MS ICE
Thank you. It was the view from the back of a vineyard we go to frequently. It was nice winter afternoon with sunshine and I have already tasted few wines. So serenity was within and without. :D I liked the splash of reds in the front and typical California brown/green hills. I was thinking more of ...

Re: Panorama with MS ICE
Kevin,
Thank you very much for your kind words. The camera did all the work. All I did was to set to A mode and set the aperture
and let it work. ICE software also did a very good job, in my opinion.
with best regards,
Sury

Panorama with MS ICE
Here is a Pano stitched with MS ICE software. These are 13 images stitched by the software without any problems.
The images were taken with Sigma 70-300 APO lens on A900. All comments are appreciated.

Sury

Re: A900 and MF Lenses
Frank,
I will investigate the AF confirm adapter. Looks like it is worth the investment. Thanks for the tips.
Just a dumb question, but what is BIP?
with best regards,
Sury

Re: A900 and MF Lenses
I went open to focus and then stopped couple of stops. It is very likely during this time my camera must have moved.
Hmm.. Something to think about my technique. Thanks for pointing out. Much appreciated and learned something new (to me).
with best regards,
sury
