Re: It's Been a Long Time

JT,
I found bracketing to come to rescue on a bad light day, more than once. But Nature is what it is.
You have to work with it. I liked the second one. I think first one would have benefited from a bracketed shot
or even built-in HDR feature of the camera.

Henry, looking forward to the thread.

Re: Dusting off the lens - part 6

Agree JT. It was more of my fault not noticing the chair. I debated cropping but I felt the vertical line added a visual contrast to
the angled flowers.

Re: Dusting off the lens - part 6

Valery,
You are absolutely correct. It was intentional. I was taking the photos of backyard/frontyard flowers with different lenses
in the Dusting off old lenses series. The idea is to show similar set up with different lenses.

Re: A99-2

From keepsakes point of view, I don't mind the first one at all. :)
Thank you for the examples, very nicely done.

Re: A99-2

Wow. In a situation like that I take what I get and you got plenty good shots. I am glad you had a long FL
lens with you, not withstanding its limitation (being a slow lens).

Re: A99-2

The first one seem to be a bit noisy on my monitor, Valery. Second one is clean and sharp for a mirror lens.
I would like to see more details on the third one but I am sure beats the heck out of carrying a heavy set up.

Re: Where is everyone?

Ossie,
Great shots. On my monitor, the second one looks too contrasty though.
After the site has been hacked, my account has been restored. I am hoping
the accounts of others have been restored too. I kept posting to check if everything
is ok. Let's hope others come back too.
