Re: Nice film scanner?
Does anyone know of any software that could do the negative-positive conversion? I have ‘scanned’ slides with my A100 (and Tamron 90mm Di at 1:1 magnification) with good results, but cannot do the same with negatives unless such sort of software (or perhaps an alternative method) exists. Nice film scanner?
http://www.kjell.com/content/templates/popups/shop_item_print.aspx?item=91411 It's in swedish, sorry  couldn't find the product in english on some other site. So what do you think? 5Mpix would be enough for my old crappy negatives, and if the interpolation is decent that would work too. 1/1.8...

Trying some HDR
Can't really get the hang of it.. Would be nice with a FW for my D7D that allowed wider bracketing  http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3143/2888955441_91bc9b7ff5.jpg ( http://www.flickr.com/photos/thorstensson/2888955441/ ) <- for larger view Taken just outside our yard. Re: DK! Post Some IS0 1600-6400 a900 Samples Soon!
I do not think it's wise to compare the pictures of both cats. There is way more light in the A700 version, and you pick out a very bright part (the cat looks like it's eying straight into the light) to compare it with the darkest part of the a900 picture. Me neither... As said earlier it would be ...

Re: B&W Cat
I like the cat which btw feels sleepy. The texture of the woods are great but it would've been much better if the lines drew your sight towards the cat not away from it. But that's only me Cats are very photogenic creatures. I don't think he was sleepy but he is getting pretty old and worn from fig...

Re: Replace the KM 17-35 F2.8-4 D, with what?
[Sic], did you ever decide on or purchase a new lens? Hi Kevin! No I didn't actually. As I was on parental leave for almost seven months my income has been very sparse and it wasn't until today I received my first real paycheck for quite some time  I will start to save some money but since...

Re: Replace the KM 17-35 F2.8-4 D, with what?
How about complementing it with a reasonable zoom, rather than replacing it? Unless you fear switching lenses often, that may work. (OK, you have an 18-70 there but there must be a reason why you got the 17-35, that would likely be speed or quality) Hi! Nah, I have zooms to cover the range from 17-...
