Re: New Galleries

Welcome back David, Looks like you used the A900 extensively in almost all weather conditions and photography types. Was it a trying task to carry the camera and the lenses in these situations? Yildiz Thanks for you comments, although the equipment was a bit heavier than my previous A700 APS-C syst...

Re: A380 330 230 details on Sony sites

It is ambiguous - I think they mean that you need to buy a wireless flash (i.e. it is not included). The latest from both Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Sony-HVLF20AM-Digital-Flash-Cameras/dp/B0029U0XF6" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and a Polish poster on Dyxum http://www.dy...

Re: HVL-F20AM - Can it act in command mode on A900?

David, I have been reading many conflicting and confusing musings on the new HVL-F20AM. The latest from both Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Sony-HVLF20AM-Digital-Flash-Cameras/dp/B0029U0XF6 and a Polish poster on Dyxum http://www.dyxum.com/dforum/topic46718&get=last.html is that the new flash will...

I agree, it would have been fun to see more of the reactions from bystanders.

Edinburgh cyclist

I live a few miles from Edinburgh - a place I went to school and University. (Long time ago). I thought you folks that either do or don't know Edinburgh might like this video by Dave Sowerby of trick cyclist Danny MacAskill in Edinburgh. What a talented guy. I thought the video was brilliant...

Re: Sony + Zeiss cooperation confirmed for 5 more years

In a word: Optics. The Nikon system offers an extensive range of quality optics. Nikon and CZ. Sony is introducing new lenses, but they appear not to be interested in releasing fast primes or specialized lenses, such as T/S or fast long teles. But the fast primes won't be stabilised on Nikon? There...

Another of the old farmhouse - this is from 3 handheld exposure bracketed shots combined in ImageFuser. Dang I wish I had not cut the chimney off.

Re: DXO Optics Pro adds 100 correction modules

It still is ultraslow , the results are superb for the lens/camera combos they do have. They have most of the current production lenses but not any of the old Minolta 28-105mm or Tamron 17-35mm for example. Best lens aberration correction tool I have tried, especially the Volume Anamorphosis tool, w...

Re: Old, derelict buildings

I'm glad more people have posted their photos. Old buildings are everywhere and I find them fascinating -- especially when I am able to go inside for a look. Imagine the people and lives within the crumbling walls. Sometimes they still have reminders of the occupants -- old, faded, tattered picture...
