Re: Wireless flash on NEX-6
Unfortunately, wireless flash with the NEX-6 cannot be operated with the camera's built-in flash. It's going to take two flash guns, one operating as a controller on your camera, and the other as a slave off-camera. Controller-capable flashes include F43AM, F58AM, F60AM, and possibly the F20M or F20...

Re: Sony Alpha77 - first impressions
I had taken a few test images but they are now all gone for whilst adjusting viewfinder dioptre setting I occidentally nudged the Movie button (gout in right index finger does not help) and noticed Recording pop up. Once VF dioptre was set I wished to delete whatever recording had been made. On sel...

Re: First roll of film through a Canon AE-1
Looks like all the 135 film I ordered was color, and 120 as well. I have a roll of black and white 120 film in the Graflex, and another roll besides that one, also black and white, but a bit faster. This should be an exciting summer!

Re: Two New (Very Old) Cameras
It actually doesn't draw much attention at all--there's enough development going on around here, perhaps they think it is surveying equipment!Dr. Harout wrote:... and they will ask you if these are some new kind of smartphones

Re: First roll of film through a Canon AE-1
is this a "real lab"? or just a pharmacy that offer 1 Hs photo? Photo labs are becoming rear these days. if yours is a real photolab, they'll need your feedback in order to stay in business. Feeble colors are due to underexposure of the film, or because they are processing the film "...

Re: First roll of film through a Canon AE-1
In your opinion, would this be a reason to look for a different photo lab? 'Cause I was actually kind-of tickled to get all of the wonky colors.

Thanks Pako. That mark at left doesn't appear to be on the negative. Perhaps it was on the lab's scanner?

Re: Bl**dy hell - what on earth is this Sony tripod?
Not sure how useful it will be for most folks, video maybe stills I can't see it offering much over a normal tripod. For somebody with an older camera, it really can't offer anything over the remote commanders we already know. The new interface only benefits a handful of cameras so far, but for tho...

Re: Bl**dy hell - what on earth is this Sony tripod?
That's the VCT-VPR1 , and there are also a new VCT-VPR10 (carbon fiber tripod) and VCT-VPR100 (twin shank tripod). No, the first two aren't immediately compatible with the A99, but they can be made so, with some limitations. They use the new Multi Terminal Cable system, introduced for the most recen...

Those are some brilliant macros! Around here in Seattle, you can't walk a block without seeing these beautiful cherry blossoms: http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8110/8605276652_4289a6d6b8_z.jpg Cherry Blossoms by Kevin_Barrett , on Flickr http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8401/8605279178_7743004ffb_z.jpg C...

Re: First roll of film through a Canon AE-1
The lab rescued the film from the camera when it broke off inside the film canister near the end of the roll (did I mention I was unfamiliar with the camera?). They developed it and scanned the negatives, and I did not touch the files before uploading them. I noticed the horizontal line at right in ...
