Brand religion

Thanks for the comments, it's more or less as I had thought but suddenly felt unsure when confronted. I didn't continue the conversation or make an issue of it and it'll probably never come up again. But, well you know how these things keep going round in the brain ... :) I have always been slightl...

List them all maybe

I was thinking, what about listing the entire rest of the alphabet and just leave a blank line to the right of the letter, perhaps, and fill it in if something becomes available.

Megapixel madness

Instead of ever more megapixels tit for tat, wouldn't it be nice if camera manufacturers swapped over to the dynamic range issue for a while.

Re: Rubber falling off

From Ray Lemieux, of the MUG Yahoo list: " It's a very common thing, and it just happened to my 14-month old 5D as well. Here's how I fixed mine... I removed the grip (that part's easy!), then cleaned ALL the sticky gunk off of it and the camera back. Getting the gunk off of the camera back wa...

Re: Tamron 18-250 review

Anyway the real purpose of this is to let you know that there is a small syntax typo in the last sentence of the review, (if your worried)... the use of is instead of it. Regards Greg ... and a little typo here also :) your = you're Roger, I'm quite happy to concede that my own spelling and typo co...

Tamron 18-250 review

David, I just finished reading your thorough workout of the new Tamron, and it seems it is quite a good lens, even better than the KM18-200 surprisingly, (I had quite a good opinion of the latter). I have done in the past a sort of comparo with it and the 100-300 APO of mine (which isn't a bad lens)...

Greek alphabet

I don't know if this one does anything for you, but they do make cameras.

A100 user OEM manual

I don't know about you, but I thought the A100 user manual was abbreviated far too much for people who have just purchased their first SLR/DSLR. With the introduction to photographic concepts that newbies had never heard of before being just too brief to be meaningfull. If you don't take the time to...

Memory foibles

What can I say, it was late, 1.30am and I was tired from too many late nights. I went and got the old girl from the wardrobe to make sure I had gotten the model correct at least, (a "yes" on that one) the light meter packed it in years ago but I had moved on to the X700 before that anyway....

Just joined, so Hi to all from down under.

I'm not your most experienced forumer, dpreveiw was my first. I've only recently taken to digital photography, first with a KM5D and then an A100 as well. I'm getting the hang of these a bit, but my PP is about as handy as a hip pocket in a singlet. So I though I might glean the odd bit of help from...
