Re: Got my A55! My first Impressions.... + Kit Lens sample s
I think Sony needs to improve IDC not just for correcting CA, but speed, accuracy and workflow. It is a shame we have to use third party software in order to handle properly Sony RAW files... No, Pako: They should improve the camera. I see Sony as a hardware provider. Let the software engineers do ...

Thx Dr. Harout, Aster. Of course the chores are there, and even more substantial if it's the neighbours trees causing them. But the noise and stench for the innocent bypassers is not to forget as well

Another kind of Autumn Wind... http://markus-spring.info/wp/wp-content/uploads/spring2life/dsc23981sb-500x750.jpg Click to see a large version. For this image I used my 1.4/85 wide open - and I was lucky that the focus was o.k., as I have made the experience that the AF system is not really reliable...

Re: Share your repetition pictures :-) (no PP effect)
Thx for the thumbs-up! John, this image I took in Krk, Croatia ( Here on google maps ). This is a small medieval town where some houses still have Roman foundations. In the winter less then 5000 persons live there, but in the summer the population grows to 20.000+. The fine thing is that they still ...

http://markus-spring.info/varia/photoclubalpha/dsc41475_v2s.jpg @All: Glad you like this candid! The crop indicates it's a 350. I was there with the family, and it was definitely not easy to guide two nine-year-olds through the crowd. The streets were littered with broken glass, to name just the mo...

The lady had certainly forgotten to switch on her own SSS... Excuse the poor quality, the Oktoberfest that day was incredibly crowded and all but amusing.

... not only poverty and fences go on a par, but also refugees too ... Yes, and Sri Lanka still has hundred thousands of refugees, with the situation only slowly improving... Add to this the necessity to protect religious symbols with a fence, like the Vesak lanterns here: http://markus-spring.info...

Re: New Gallery: Batticaloa Fences
Yildiz, in a certain way this behaviour is understandable, as a lot of daily life happens outside of house or hut, including the washing/showering. And Sri Lanka is (for western eyes) an extremely prudish country: you can get arrested for nothing but a kiss in public.,, That's the reason why you see...

@Dr. Harout, Birma: Thanks for the warm re-welcome. I am glad you enjoyed the images - however I don't know if "enjoy" is really the right word here. We certainly can't close our eyes in front of the poverty shining through this pictures. Yet there is a certain beauty of forms also coming ...
