I really like this SLT things, but I hope that SONY will realize higher class camera with the possibility to lift the mirror and take pictures with contrast AF or something for landscape and static scenes.

The guy with the a33 told me that you can't attach a lens. That is Pity.

OK, I have asked a user that have a33 and he answered that the camera take photos with mirror raised!

But in the video mirror sticks out of the bayonet So I don't know.

Anybody see this video showing the transparent mirror being manually raised, followed by shutter actuations? I wonder if the camera is trying to record image files right then, or if there would be any clearance issues with the mirror raised up that way. Kevin I was wondering exactly the same thing ...

This sensor appears to be very slow (fps wise) and to offer ISO100, so it is certainly not identical. David Maybe Nikon just don't need a fast sensor in the entry level camera and don't want to pay extra money for that. If it's true that A55 will have 10fps. :o And maybe Sony just don't offer such ...
