Tamron 18-200 for NEX anyone? (pics added)

I was planning to get a 55-210 but now Tamron has announced the 18-200 and it seems to have the same size, just 100g more heavy. Never fancied the Sony 18-200, it seems to be a great lens, but it looks so fat. So far I haven't seen neither the 55-210 nor the Tamron. Neither the 30/3.5 macro, 50/1.8,...

Re: Ipad being used?

We use the IPad mainly as web browser - it's so much more comfortable to lie on the sofa and use it rather than sitting at a desk or using the laptop. It doesn't get used for any phorographic tasks, though (other than reading phoyo forums on the web  )

Re: Zeiss 24mm f/2 review now posted

I had the Minolta 24/2.8 MD and sold it. I am just not too experienced and/or patient for manual focus. It might be better with the new viewfinder, but on the display of the NEX 5 it was just so-so (for me).

Re: Price suggestion: SONY SAL 18-200 mm- Excellent

The Tamron 18-200mm (nearly identical to the Sony) costs 160 Euro new these days... I sold my Sony 18-250 for a bit more than 300 Euro last year, to give you an idea - prices might be a bit higher in Turkey.

Read somewhere it will be 670 Euro here, as opposed to 800 for the Sony.

When I got my NEX 5 I got the double kit, but never used the 16mm. Sold it 2 weeks ago.

Re: Minolta MD 24/2.8 on NEX-5

Sold mine today, didn't get much use  Saving for the Zeiss SEL 24 f1.8? :P Not really. It is tempting, but not my first choice. I'll get a 55-210 once available here, I think it's good value for money and I need a tele lens. Tried the MD 135mm, but not really convinced by the handling (also s...

Re: Computer Boffins- Advice Needed

For any weird and unexplainable behaviour of your PC, you might also try to return to a system restore point a day or a week or a month earlier. This might roll back any unwanted changes you're not aware of.

Re: Getting used to a77

Latest Nexes are also very slow to fully switch off. They just turn off the displays immediately, but the lenses are disengaged only in a few seconds. Any idea why is it so? After all a55/33/35 don't show such a behavior. Ultra-sonic sensor cleaning (dust shake off) - do they have that and could it...

Chinese anybody ?

My brother is faced with a translation challenge and since I am good with languages (he thought it was turkish...) he asked my help for this: zhù nǐn zhōu mò kuàilè Obviously  not turkisch, german, spanish, italian, english or french which I could get along with somehow. Google searches poin...
