Re: SAL1650 DT SSM
David - As you used both Sony 16-50 and CZ 16-80. Can you please tell which one has better color, contrast and sharpness.
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Getting used to a77
Good one Doc. But, can I ask one a bit scientific question? )))) There is a shot nearby my university, which has A77 in stock. So I "sometimes" go and take the camera in hands. I use A55 so I can see a huge difference in EVF. And will disagree about the lag that was reported, when you chan...

Re: First Shots from Zurich
Thanks for the reply Tom.
But still, why would in develop module the picture which is shown there differ from one from Library module and the one that you actually get after processing it.

Mangar - I am happy to hear that. As reading others review of high ISO it seemed that it is worse than 16MP sensor.

Re: First Shots from Zurich
Is there a JPG embedded in the RAW?
and this is not the first time that I can see better details in Libarary module than in Develop.

I agree with you Viceroy. As I have A55 and want some of the features that A65 does, mostly the EVF or even a better sensor than this one for low light.

Re: First Shots from Zurich
That bright dot over the tower is a star. So I took adjustment brush in LR and increased its exposure by 4EV. But I noticed a weird thing with LR. In the picture in LR you can see 5 stars. After adjustment brush in Library module I could see all 5 without zooming, however in Develop module I could s...

Re: First Shots from Zurich
Good first three pictures! My opinion is that the swan would be much better (it is still good!) if it was photographed from a lower perspective. I agree with that, but the problem was that beyond the swam there where other birds and other things, so if I would go down a bit, they would be visible, ...

Re: Sony A77-Really a Bridge camera? Worth Getting Now or Wa
I have A55, and I like it.
It's very good in low light.
Although the EVF gets grainy in very dirk conditions, but at the same conditions you will not be able to see anything through OVF.

Re: The concept of Translucent...and resistance to it.
Something like that. But I do not know about the speed of the AF in that system.
Really we need the mirror in SLT only for focusing.
So if the problem of fast focusing would be solved without separate sensor, there would be no need in the mirror.

Two more pictures from Zurich. At this time in the night.
I'd be happy about criticism towards my photographs, so I can learn and develop.

Re: The concept of Translucent...and resistance to it.
I suppose, the next step of DSLR or DSLT will be when they can implement focusing into the main sensor. So in that case they'll abandon the mirror at all. So SLT is just the middle step to develop and prepare for that.
