Re: If you had no camera equipment at all..which maker??
I'd still want a FF with plenty of pixels. No way could I afford the Nikon D3x and Canon just don't appeal to me. So it would have to be a Sony a900

Re: Shipping Cost
Without insurance, the 2kg plus weight ... As a quite heavy user of Royal Mail international services (eBay sales mainly) the 2kg break point is the problem - costs escalate frightful over 2kg. Where possible I split packages to get below that weight and it's often very much cheaper to send two 1.9...

Re: Oly say 12MP Enough - Focus on Color Accuracy and Low Light
"Customers who want more than 20 megapixels should look to full-frame cameras" The area of an Olympus 4/3 sensor is very close to a quarter of the area of FF (35mm) sensor. For their 4/3 sensor they are saying 12mp "is enough" so 48mp would be their idea of "enough" for...

Re: DxO Optics Pro now supports A900

There are other more economical ways of doing much the same thing - try PTLens coupled with Raw Therapee ...

One aspect I’ve never really understood is what is Photoshop trying to do when the Auto levels/contrast/color tabs are used ... what’s going on under the hood? I rarely use them but have tried ...
