Thanks David. I had forgotten about the Sigma 12-24. Its expensive, even used, but it might be the best choice. And it will work with my A850.

What is they widest full frame lens, that isn't a fisheye? -- I need one for a few industrial photos. I have a Minolta 17-35, but need wider. What do you folks recommend?

Isn't the A99 already gone? I heard its not listed on the Sony site any more.

What was the metering set for? -- I've seen this problem on the A850 at air shows, unless I set it to spot metering, and focus on the bird.

The rumors have been saying A99ii camera will come, for a couple of years now. Is it just talk or does anyone have a reason to believe it will actually be released in our lifetime?


I have an aging A850 and would buy an A99ii if it ever came to market.
