Re: Exceptional work all round

Still OT, I know, but thought I might as well continue the Expression Media discussion here... ...installed it yesterday and set the catalogue of about 35,000 images building - and after about 1/2 hour left it to its own devices and went to Uni - so don't know how long it finally took... ...but it r...

Re: Exceptional work all round

David, OT I know, but out of interest: I use Adobe Camera Raw, Lightroom, C1 Pro or DxO Optics Pro to do the resizing.... ....Alamy forces me to edit my work rigorously and to process with care. Everything must be named, captioned, copyright embedded and keyworded (I use iView Media Pro for this). T...

Re: AF18-200MM F/3.5-6.3 XR Di-II ASPHERICAL (IF) MACRO - Image?

...we sold 18-200mm, bought Tamron 18-250mm. Then later a Sony 18-250mm came up for sale here, so we swapped - I can say it is not better than the Tamron, but it's as good. Identical in results. I'm glad to hear it - my ex-DK 18-250 has been on my 7D & A700 for the majority of the 5000+ shots I...

Anyone using the payment on the home page is automatically checked - by me - against the database. The worst that can happen is that you renew a bit early, and save me a reminder email or letter. I usually email to inform of early renewals and confirm the period remaining. David David - I think min...

I've never trusted anything green or flowery since watching "Day Of The Triffids", lol!

Hope it's cleared up completely, now...

Re: Battery recommendation - NP-FM55H

Just got a new A100 from Argos Clearance on eBay for dad [fw 1.02] - whilst his battery is charging, thought I'd try one of mine that I use in the A700... ...first one I tried came up with the rejection message - then realised it was a SIDO "Chinese-Copy" - so tried an original Sony - and ...

I reckon the Dumfries and Galloway Wildlife Park beckons for another visit at the weekend! If you go, will be interested to hear what's there this year - not been since last autumn and so keen to know if there are any new arrivals... See on the website the maned wolves have had cubs - can't quite b...

Re: Best Matched Lenses for A900

I can tell you which are not well matched. The old 35-70mm f/4 Minolta is very poor over full frame digital despite being praised on APS-C. The 35-105mm early lens is similar, and the 28-85mm again weak. The final 24-105mm D series lens is terrible on full frame (including the current Sony version)...

Re: DSLR-A330, A330L, and A330Y

But I have a big box of soft suede cases for the Dynax 5... unsold... looks as if they will be a lovely fit for this new camera.
...and an excellent quality case they are - will even take the 24-105 (with reversed hood) on the 5 body, so the new lenses should fit in as well !

Re: Old Sigma 16mm focus confirm

So it was you who bought it ! - been looking at it since xmas spending started, hoping it would remain, but noticed it'd gone when I was looking over the weekend - might have beaten you to it if the car hadn't cost me as much & a lot more a week or so ago... ...oh well, will have to stick with m...

Maybe still left over from Spring '06 - I thought they had a few film cams at the time but can't remember what else they had on 'the spreadsheet', but I seem to remember you got some bargains [now sold?]

[mine included the 7D & 5 bodies...]

...also have CS-5 cases for the original Dynax 5. I thought they were too small for any of the new digital models.
