Camera pouch CS DG-8 for A200/3n0
Just wanted to say thanks to DK for continuing to offer the "old" Minolta stock from the shut-down - just got another CS DG-8 to use with my new A350 [alongside the one for the 5D] - great little cases if you tend to keep one of the smaller primes on your body... ...and to highlight that t...

Re: Female Contributors ?
Shirley would post images but she's involved in running some other websites where it's undesirable for the admin and moderators to be traceable, so she uses a pseudo for all photos (and for herself) and will not repeat the photo postings here Understandable - but wondering how she's getting on with...

Re: November on the Isle of Skye ... Part 1
Wow, those bring back some great memories - was there last summer but only for a week and, as you said, the weather was somewhat 'variable' ! ...certainly the water was calmer in your first shot than it was in mine, lol - there was a helicopter delivering power poles nearby, and he had a hard time c...

Re: Involved?
Have you got a nice, big white wall in the 'castle' ? - that'd show off the A700/900 nicely at, say, 15'x10' !David Kilpatrick wrote:So we decided not to... I think I'll buy a 1080p digital projector instead.

Re: Involved?
it was acquired because Morgan had one when KM closed down and I offered for a bunch of lenses. Had I known the prices they wanted and certain arrival of full frame, I would have had a 35mm f1.4, 100mm f2 and 85mm f1.4 as well or instead - but I just put myself down for a 28mm f2, 100mm SF and the ...

Re: minolta 300 2,8 HS or minolta 300 F4 HS
Not quite what you're looking for, but there's a thread on Dyxum comparing a Minolta 300/2.8 original to a Minolta 300/4 HS - note that there are 24 pics included... ...interesting results - I ended up wishing I'd got a 300/4 [for the weight] when I had the chance, but maybe then wouldn't have got m...

Re: HVL-F58AM flash gun
The 5600/56 works as a wireless controller on the D7D... ... No problem getting 5600, 3600, 42 and 58 all to fire at once for the D7D pop up. Setting up the 58 on the A900 to trigger a mixture of 5600/3600/42 works - and the ratio can be controlled between 'all the remotes' (no individual control p...

Re: HVL-F58AM flash gun
David - know its extremely unlikely, but have you tried the 5600 as a wireless controller on the A900 ? [I know it's not worked since film-cams with any of the DSLRs to date, but just wondering as presumably there's nothing in the camera firmware for onboard-flash-wireless-control, so maybe the rest...

Re: Chosing a film camera
As a [cheaper] alternative to the 7 [maybe about the same price as a 5], how about a 600si - arguably the forerunner of the 7s control philosophy, and if you can get a v/grip for it, that adds a flash-sync port and use of AAs - not quite as solid as the 7, and the AF is less sophisticated [read 'old...
