Re: A100/A700 flash shoe connection problem?
Good news. The shop got back to me and they have been in contact with Sony. Sony has never heard of the issue before so they want me to send my A100 in together with the 36 flash and they will service it under warranty. I am a happy kitten!

Re: A100/A700 flash shoe connection problem?
Thanks Kevin and Andy. Hmm, some more testing. It seems to vary, 36 has problems on my A100 as well as the 42. But the 36 isnt having problems on the A700 (it wiggles but it stays in contact). 42 can have some issues on the A700 but right now its pretty rare (wiggles and sometimes loses connection)....

Re: A100/A700 flash shoe connection problem?
Hey Kevin. Could you try tilting the camera back and forth (horizontal/vertical and tilting the camera up and down), this is when my connection loss occurs. I see it by watching the flash icon on the cameras backside screen, it flicks off and on, or it flicks off till I tilt the camera in another wa...

A100/A700 flash shoe connection problem?
I've noticed a problem with the connection between the flash gun and the camera itself, this problem occurs on both my Alpha cameras, A100 and A700 and with two different flashes, the HVL-F36AM and the HVL-F42AM. There is slight play between the flash itself and the camera when they are assembled. S...

Re: Snow
Snow is rare in south Sweden these days. :( But we got some white snow these last few days, so I wanted to try to capture some crystals. I'm realativly happy with these..one problem though, I shot with ISO800 on the A100! :? These were pretty small sized snowflakes, around 3-5mm in diameter, they ha...

Re: A900 in Antarctica
Thats very interesting. My A700 was out in the rain and survived, nothing compared to this though.
By the way, it has always been a dream of mine to go to either the north or the south pole. The exploreres who first went there are a great interest of mine.

Re: Wireless flash question
Thanks Kevin.
I'll have to check and see if we have any such film. Otherwise I have an excuse to try out my fathers old Konica camera, take some shots and send the film in.

Wireless flash question
Hey all. I recently got a 2nd flashgun (F42AM) so I am experimenting some more with wireless triggering, but I found one "problem" that can be pretty annoying at times. The pop-up flash on the camera contributes light to the picture I am taking. Sometimes this can be nice, but most times I...

Re: New Monitor for my A700, KM5D, A100, and 7Hi Pix!
Well I ended up with this. The HP took its time to get back into stock and I couldn't wait. :P It was more expensive, I paid around 540USD for it. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3514/3218204488_abfa2ea6bd.jpg http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e298/Forsete/eizo_profil.jpg I like the colour profiles w...

Re: Canon 5DMkII Exotic Art Macro Video
Canon does a good job at NR. The image looks only slightly softer from the Canon. Sony should really pour some R&D into NR, and not the heavy-handed watercolour kind please. Edit: Though after a pass in NoiseNinja the A900 shot does not look that bad, the noise itself is very good looking once t...

Re: CIPA Forecast
The way they're printing money over here, I don't doubt that someone who holds a lot of our financial instruments may want to start a war with us. I've always feared the coming war with China, and we may be seeing it before too long. Dusty China has a big part, how big are the arabs these days? Sau...

Re: 2 from this evening
Beautiful picture.
The colours of the sky are very nicely captured and the picture is not overprocessed. You guys have a wonderful lighthouse there.
I perfer the 2nd picture in the first post, just because of the smeared water, looks like a painting.
