Portable studio (if this can inspire you :-) )

After a few year searching for the best way to transport minimum and versatile studio kit with me, here is the result. Rules: -> being able to transport all the kit in one way from the car , bus , or other transportation on me. Two bag (or only one if I need just three lenses and camera). -> No need...

Re: MetaBones Speed Booster Adaptor

WOW :-) that's the only thing I can say so far for the Tilt and Shift experience 17mm Canon with the Camera. And also I can now stop using my A900 for any future contract of stock picture. Combined with the NEX-7 and the new adapter of metabone the 17mm is perfect. Yes ... some smooth corner detail ...

Re: MetaBones Speed Booster Adaptor

Tomorrow I'm doing a contract with the Canon 17mm TS, so I will let you know if it works well or not. (I'm will bring my A900 in backup in case it is not working well).

Re: MetaBones Speed Booster Adaptor

Got it today ! :-) I will post some result .

So far, playing with the same lens on the A900 and Nex 7, the result looks almost the same (except for the slightly 1.1 compare to 1 crop factor difference).

Re: MetaBones Speed Booster Adaptor

About making old manual focus focusing, I have in a box somewhere in the house an old Sigma MD to AF converter 1.6x that allow any MD lenses to auto focus, unfortunately the firmware inside the adapter looks to work only on old Minolta 5000 , 7000 and 9000 . I remember having tried it on 800si , 9xi...

Re: Good new today ... (probably they listen to David)

I'm in the skeptical department also for the moment, but the best way was to pre-order it and test it. Hope it will not arrived late :-). Today, one of my friend share me its Rokkor 58mm 1.2 converted in EOS mount, and old Zeiss Biogon 80mm 2.0, so they will be part of the test. I currently own some...

Re: Good new today ... (probably they listen to David)

I ordered the 100mm 2.0 EF of Canon that to my taste is near than the Minolta. I'm think that playing with the two adapter of EF to NEX will be the best scenario. If you want more reach you put the standard one (available now on Ebay, that focus at a slow, but usable speed and give you 1.5x -> ~250$...

Re: Good new today ... (probably they listen to David)

Pre-order done ... , I will let you know if the adapter is good or not. I have access to almost all the exotic lenses Canon has built and other new one.

The adapter should be home by the end of the month.

Re: snow

Very nice work ! I like the black and with effect the snow provide. I can really see this kind of picture print on very large format and put on a wall.
