Does anybody use the A100 or the D7 on a telescope for astro photography?

I can't be alone in this I hope!!

Magnar Fjortoft is currently using the A100 for astro photography. You can find Magnar's KM 7D work in the downloadable magazine editions (see About Photoclub Alpha page). I can not remember whether this is in the last KM sponsored issue or the first of the new editions, I'm away from base abroad right now and can not check quickly, but it is there to read. Magnar can also be found on dPreview Sony DSLR Forum where he posts under the name Njordsternen, with many examples of astro work and discussion.

I use my D5D for both widefield astrophotography and at the prime focus of my 6" Newtonian 'scope. It is an excellent machine for the job.

Here's an example....

There's some thin cloud in that one as there often is here in Northern Ireland but you get the idea of what's possible.
