My Minolta 5D will not accept a compact flash card anymore .it comes up with message
cannot read card asks for it to be formatted, still will not work after formatting
any help appreciated

Is this just one card? Examine the pins in the card slot. If one is bent, get it to a repair shop ASAP. If they are all OK, try a different card.
