Trying some HDR

Can't really get the hang of it.. Would be nice with a FW for my D7D that allowed wider bracketing

Taken just outside our yard. Used FDRTools Basic (FreeWare) to create it using three exposures.
It is not 100% sharp which I reckon is because I had to turn the exposure comp. knob...

Any tips or suggestions are welcome

That's not fair!!
Especially when I've been taking photos of the stormy weather over the Bosphorus early this morning with different exposure values just to develop some nice HDR images...I realized that I may have to set the exposures manually as the baracketing on the A100 only allows -1,0,+1.

I like your photo, especially the grayish-blue effect that seem to be suspended over the thick green of the grass...it's reflective somehow as though the moisture/mist was barely touching the grass...
Also you must be living in a very beautiful place, nature is very lushy and abundant... and vast...

I've never tried HDR so thanks for the link, I'll have to give it a go.

I like the colours in the sky. HDR images I've seen in magazines seem to really "pop" and I wonder if yours is a bit too subtle? This could of course be a good thing as it's probably easy to make the scene look un-natrual.

I think that's quite eerie actually, nice shot
Only tried HDR on buildings myself, I'd imagine a landscape like that is a bit trickier somehow.
