I see you had some wind (funky looking tree in front of the house), the colours are rich but not over saturated and the image in total is well balanced.

Sadly, I have no access to Javelin's website and can't see the image...yet once again.
This 'uranium' domain is definitely not working for me! Well, will have to bear it I guess.

I have a feeling that I'm missing nice bits.....

I just did a Google search for "web proxy" and used the first one that showed up (it had a bit inappropriate name...).
Just try that for pages that doesn't seem to work with your ISP.

If that's supposed to be HDR then why are the clouds so washed out? This result you can get with a single well-exposed ordinary shot just as well.

I have three problems with this image.
1. The right-side clouds appear to be blown out...Shouldn't happen with HDR
2. In the center of the image, the sky is posterized...were the originals JPEGs?
3. There appears to be some extreme fringing in the top of the right-side tree...probably not an HDR issue.

Here is one of the JPG's that was PP'd instead of the HDR. I just let photoshop do whatever it wanted when it assembled the HDR image ... this one may be sharpened a little too much. it looked better at 1600px then I resized the jpg again to post here theres 6 options to resize and they all seem to add sharpening when you reduce the size...Sharpening really does need to be done last.. Don't know about the fringing it's probably because PS can't match the trees exactly between all the shots in the stack. I notice the trees on the left are pretty muddy. As for the sky that seems blown out well they are. when PS finishes the assembly it gives you a slider to adjust the exposure and I think I went a little far with it because it seemed to bring up the contrast in the rest of the shot. On thing I learned in this process was if you make an HDR this way don't edit the 32bit image you get if your then going to make jpgs out of it. There were powerlines across the image I removed but they showed back up again in the jpgs as plain white lines you can still see a trace of it at the top of the tall tree in this image. the larger versions I did a better job on in that respect, because of the way I edited the HDR every copy I made for posting had to be fixed again.. got lots of practice there I tell you. actually the heal tool in ACDsee works better than what I was using in PS.

What about composition? is it attractive to you folks?

Sorry the thought never crossed my mind that the site could be blocked... not sure whats up there that someone would block I just have a small corner of a hard drive to upload pix to. and thats all I can see with the permissions that are set.

That's much nicer...seems as thought it didn't need HDR.
The composition seems OK too.
Would I crop it differently? Probably.
Would it be better? Probably not.

Javelin: As Winston, I think the composition is fine. The sunlit foreground, though, is a bit empty (I guess you had no hunter horse with you right then to fill the foreground…).

Thanks guys. I agree the foreground is empty. if it was deeper from the road I would have had an interesting straight on shot . the house isnt occupied but that day there was a broken down truck in the front driveway to the right so even a little wider shot wasn't an option. sometimes you have to make the best of what you get and I thought because there was some features in the sky it might make a fun HDR candidate.. the sky here has been mostly smooth grey with cloud or plane bright blue all summer but evenings bring high clouds like these which make nice sunsets but i've done sunsets to death
