Trying tp stich together a Sun set, Would like to know your thoughts on the job so far,

When I was examining the image I took those bands for the lack of photos that would overlap and cover that section too, Doc. But I may be wrong of course!

Sonolta, agree the left side needs some work, but my photoshop skill are not up to the same level has my poor photography skill So I thought I'll go some feed back first before spending 1/2 the day trying to fix the left and right sides

Bonneville, Thanks for your post, I was not sure the right side was fixable

P.S Sonolta post has many cheerleader shots has you like. I played American Football here for 3 years, out of 12 teams, only one team had cheerleaders, westside Vikings, (team I played for ) and that was not till our 3 third year, and they where not the same has the US type and I didn't even have a camera then

Ooh! That's a very nice edit. The clouds on the right look very natural and I can see no sign of the blob, or whatever it was, on the left. I miss the colors of the original, though.

Can't say which is better.

Hi Kevin, not sure what you mean by different exposure, the first one was from camera jpegs , sticked with PTgui then cropped and levels ajusted in PS CS2

second one is from RAW's processed in DxO, highlight recovery profile to jpgs, then stiched in PTgui then only cropped (cropped a little more on the left to centre the sun) in PS CS2 , third one is version 2 with levels adjusted in PS CS2

Very nice! If you really want to get technical, there's still one area where there's a little bit of a visible stitching artifact. I've given a (rough) outline of it below, but it's honestly hard to see until/unless you watch carefully while you're scrolling the picture. I can't explain why, but at least when I'm looking for problems in panoramas, I find it much easier to spot them while scrolling the picture around.

Truthfully, the mismatch in this area is so minor that probably 90% of the time (or so) I'd just ignore it -- but if you want to work on your stitching skills, it's going to be a good challenge. When you have a sky that's clear blue or solid overcast, it's pretty easy to get rid of artifacts like this by blending across the line. In this case, there's enough detail that would be pretty obvious, so if you decide to work on it at all, you'll probably need to select the area in question (much more precisely than I've done) and adjust the brightness/contrast in that area to get it to match (and the adjustment will be small -- you've already got things practically dead-on.
