photogenic Mantis

Had a hard time with a few of these. after editing them all these were the ones I felt were best. Not sure what ones are left but I shot with 100mm 90mm and beercan for these. none are cropped some are adjusted for exposure. my 100mm tends to make em dark for some reason. I was surprised that these critters can look in any direction. even behind them. they may have trouble looking behind and down (through their legs) but pretty much any other direction is covered. and it's funny to watch them turn their heads.

Great shots Javelin. I find taking close ups of spiders spooks me quite enough, these guys would have me running for the bug spray! I must admit that I am glad these don't occur in my back garden :?

They are strange creatures. and very efficient predators. you may want them in your garden as opposed to bug spray :)
