I love lighthouses, and I'm sure there must be a few lurkling in people's archives. Here are three views of one of my favourites at Rubha Nan Gall on the Isle of Mull, just to get you started.

These are from a trip in August 2007. F stops and ISO was all new then and I had not realised that F16+ was probably not a good choice. The kit was my only lens at this point. The good thing with using Raw is that you always go back and have another play with PP.

I'm with the Doc on this one. There are billions of photos of lighthouses and the sea, but this one is very pretty with the texture of a sea of grass instead!

Blimey - it is amazing how many you can find when you look!

Here is a fourth one. This is actually a church at Ilfracombe, Devon, but the tower doubles as a light house, which is caught on one of it's flashes in the first shot... The last one has a feint rainbow over it which you can just about make out. It was very strong when I first saw it, but by the time I had grabbed the camera it had faded. Oh well.

Kevin, I'm glad you got the grass thing. I've never really managed to capture long grass as I've wanted to but the journey continues .

One last pic, a bit tenuous, the small dot in the centre of the horizon is Coquest Lighthouse - honest Anyway, I just like the pic, and at least it's by the sea.

Beautiful.

Lovely Lighthouse photo Sonolta. Great with all of the sailing craft around the harbour. Those seats are high up! Multiple types of photo opportunity from one venue (and perhaps seat?) - brilliant.
