Pinnacles National Park with Minolta Dimage A2

As we discussed in another thread, I charged the batteries and turned on the Dimage A2. It came to life promptly and asked me to set date and time.
After couple of shots I got an error, so I turned off the camera, removed the battery, waited for 5 mins and put the battery back in. Since then it has been working flawlessly.

Recently went on a hike to Pinnacles National Park. It was a strenuous 6 mile hike with approximately 1500 feet (500M) elevation gain.

One of the claim to fame points of Pinnacle National Park is that this is where the Condor restoration program was initiated. Condors became endangered in 1980s and there were less than 25. The program took those birds and started breeding them in captivity.

Now to the park. All taken with a Dimage A2 bought in 2005, and lay dormant since 2007. It was brought back to life in 2021.

Indeed neat pinnacles, Sury.

I'm sure Condors feel nonthreatening wild conditions and thrive here.

Good use of Dimage A2. It deserves being reawakened to life...

At one point, the steps were very steep. A literal rock climbing endeavor though the photo does not do justice. The square pockets
were wide enough to fit hiking shoes and deep enough to get a third of foot in.

I see that it's pretty steep to climb without the railing pipes, Sury. It must have been a little hard on you but well done for taking a shot.
While the rock pinnacles' peaks are difficult to access by non-mountaineering folks they provide the absolute perfect protection for the condors.

I like the rolling half-barren hills. It's a large area.
