I am looking for a picture to complete a spread in Photoworld. The pictures already chosen each show an animal in its environment, and cover a range of scales from a fly, through a mouse, to a horse. The remaining space is square but a slightly more vertical shape could be used (not more than a 10 x 8 ratio) and I would like to feature another creature, larger than a mouse, smaller than a horse, in its environment, ideally with a left-facing orientted composition. Size of the image needs to be no more than 1000 pixels wide.

If you have already posted a 1000 pixel image anywhere in the many threads in Photoclubalpha which you think might be suitable, repost a link or email me ([email protected]).

I am completing two more spreads in the Gallery as well. One will feature people - candid, in environment, from portrait to small element. The other will feature flowers and plants and I'm very interested in harvest/late summer/early autumn subjects.

There is a square goat photo by Paul Murphy in the "Challenge 10: Old MacDonald had a farm" thread that might fit the bill. Most of the others in that thread are too rectangular though.

That goat was a cracker. Get's my vote. (I do like Winston's cheetah as well.)

So far Winston's Cheetah fits into the series best for environment, size of animal and the way it shadows the composition of two other pix rather well. Could be a runner

I did birds in the last issue with a full set carefully selected to show variety, so I'm not looking for birds this time.

Well, Carl McKie has a better deal on the mouse - another shot - now

Even so the original mouse may remain in place...

I'll be looking at 1000 pixel stuff posted here for possble use in the rest of the Gallery pages tomorrow.

Red pandas are awkward, always disappearing up trees and making themselves photograhically scarce!

One more possibility for your consideration:



I'm the first to admit, however, that this would really be better with a bit more room to the sides, so square to slightly vertical probably isn't the ideal situation for it (it was originally shot horizontally).
