Give it Your Best Shot (second camera?)

Not so many pictures being posted recently.

I'm wondering if we can break the rules and allow existing contributors to post shots from second cameras that are not Minolta/KM/Sony? I for one have a Canon G9 I take on business trips where I do not take my SLR/DSLR kit. I'm sure others have quality compact cameras they use in similar circumstances.

What about a new forum under the Photo Discussion category?

Personally I love photography and have chosen Sony (or did Sony choose me?) as a means to an end. Every magazine I read (with the obvious exception DK ) is cover to cover Nikon/Canon but I still enjoy the contents.

Harvey I'd love to see your pictures, whatever camera you take them with.

Yeah, why not?
Here's an example with a Nikon SLR (either F3 or FE2 or FM2) with Nikkor 20mm f/3.5 UD.
I call this shot: Fall of an Empire. It was when the Lenin statue got dismantled on the Republican Square (then Lenin's square). BTW, every soviet Republic had a Lenin square (mandatory) with a Lenin statue....

Personally, I don't care what camera is used. I have used Sony, KM, Minolta, Canon, and Olympus so I have shots from all of them. I have 2 Sony DSLRs, previously had a KM DSLR, and have had 2 Canon DSLRs. Also, a Minolta D7i, Canon digicams, and Olympus digicams. It is up to David, but I hope that for photo displays any camera is okay. The truth is that I have posted photos from all the cameras here, although most are from Sony/KM/Minolta cameras. My feeling is that the whole point of photography is the photos so when it is not gear talk then who cares what camera was used for the photo?

I agree with the sentiments above; all photographs welcome . I have always had the impression that the the site was happy with photographs irrespective of gear maker as long as it was clear if there was some special context (e.g. lens testing). Otherwise, who would want to restrict Henry, the Doc, etc. from posting great pics . (Love the Lenin shot Doc!)

Not great but I was looking for patterns and reflections while running around Vegas taking tourist shots to show the family. I liked the warm light coming through the "hole" in the last photo.

Oops, I just realized I broke the rule long ago, just forgot about it, I posted a photo taken on a Bronica.
I thought though the argument does have some merit if your just reviewing photos, in which case one is looking at technique, composure, exposure, content etc. and the actual camera that was used is/was not central to the discussion...but I have a feeling the camera and lens used would inevitably become involved just the same, it's only natural, we all like too know what lens was used at least...
There is probably two ways of doing it,
One: Allow photos in Give it Your Best Shot from any camera as long as the camera is nominated.
Or
Two: Have a seperate forum for Photo-technique-review-discussion for any photo taken anywhere by any camera and lens.
David what say you?

ps. Personally at the moment I'm more interested in A-mount photos taken with any brand of lens that fits that mount than those taken with camera/systems that I don't have much likelihood/intention of using...(for now)
