Ice skating

Hi all, been very busy the last couple of weeks editing photos, after photographing my youngest starting to skate competatively, i'm now shooting the entire competition - 50 skaters 3.5 hours in the cold - good practice if a little stressful.

This is why I bought the Sigma 70-200 f2.8 HSM. Here are a couple of shots of my daughter in the competition (she just missed out on a podium place) - both shots A700 + Sigma 70-200 f2.8 HSM ISO 1250 and aperture f3.2 - the local rink has poor lighting and it is a real struggle to get sharp images of moving skaters.





Both shot in cRAW, with custom WB and noise reduction using Noiseware Pro

I love the blue and the ice colour but the skin could maybe be a touch less yellow/green - obviously an effect of the lighting. >Lovely shots.
