Have never seen it before but now I have it on "film"

Quality wise not so good, because I had to shoot through our +30 year old (wavy) two glass windows - but I was stressed to get any pictures at all

Cropped (had my 100-200 F/4.5 on, maybe 300mm would have been better), sharpened and some curves applied, then resized.

Hi Zeb, a nice capture of an unusual occurence. The colours and detail on the magpie look good to me. Was it a young rat or a mouse do you think (I'm guessing mouse) ?

That's a nice one (picture wise). It;s quite rare to see a magpie catching a prey and staying put on the ground.

Hmm 'your' Magpie looks sortof Pheasanty in style with that long tail and the colours, quite a difference too our Magpie for sure. Great capture of the moment Zeb, with the limitations imposed by the obstacles as well.

Congratulations Sebastian!

Amazing that the mouse is still intact and the details are are wonderful. Never saw this type of scene except for an attack of a crow on a baby seagull.
The magpie definitely has some wonderful colours!
