Disposing of old trees

Not really fitting in the category I´m afraid, but I didn´t find a better place to post; just a fun shot.
I couldn´t resist yesterday morning. Look how everything is neat and clean, every single branch properly sawn off, then trashed in the official ´green´ bin beside it - which appears to be brown because the green one is already in use for ´normal usual waste´, but that aside. So typical Swiss... I might be biased though.
How do people elsewhere dispose of their ´used´ Christmas Trees? I know of bringing them back - popular in France - or giving them a final plunge over a balcony from the 14th floor - somewhere else...

Tie a rope around the tip top of the tree & yank it down the chimney,
always lots of fun. & you'll have a very clean chimney. ;^)

Well, we always used to leave it at the local tree service. Since my cousin's own it, they would just put it on the truck for the landfill.

However, I now have an in-ground pool that was in such bad state of repair that it cost as much to fix as it does to put a new owe in, so we're filling it in. Now, along with everything from leaves, branches, log and old Christmas trees, I have me cousin dumping wood chips in there as well! By next summer we'll hopefully be done, and can add some top-soil to have a lovely garden spot!

Dusty. I hope you don't live someoplace where termites are a problem, that burried wood and trapped water (if you didn't jackhammer out the pool floor) is perfect incubator for them.. on the other hand a nice macro lens and ring flash and you'll have endless subjects.
