Sam and Ben

Unread post by Wildieswife »

My two Great Nephews...

It was my Granddaughter's Christening today – my husband and I were the photographers. This is a one off high ISO shot I got after the church ceremony in the place we had food etc.
Sam is pushing 13 yo and Ben a couple of years behind - but not in attitude ;) They were both keen to have their photo taken by me which was a change!

I've got stuff subsequent to the church service - the vicar was a very nice lady who let us take lots of photos in the church afterwards - she said no hurry and to take our time which was nice. She also let all the little toddlers wander about and climb the steps to the alter etc - she said it should be so. When we left my son asked if he could give her a hug and a kiss and she said 'Yes please !' :D How times change.......... :)

I've been to a few family Christenings lately and I was struck with how the minister-esses were not stiff and formal like they were when I was a bit younger, although they weren't esses back then either.
Good pix Pat, adolescents volunteering to get their photo taken....hmmm

Thanks Greg. Sam has cropped the image and now has this image of himself as his facebook profile photo which is nice! I'm still sorting through/pping 400odd photos we took on the day!

I bet you're proud for such a shot (and you should be).
I don't know how it looks on color, but in B&W it's simply wonderful.

I love the sweet subtle smiles on their faces, Pat. : )

The photo has a special energy in B&W.

Thanks for sharing,
