The demolition was brilliantly done - the first two towers (to the right in the pictures) just simply collapsed downwards while the third, and the chimney, were made to collapse on top of the first two. It was all over in no more than 15 seconds.

The only waning prior to the explosions was a rocket flare so I suspect some of those roosting in the towers would not have made it out!

These photos may prove to be more valueable in the longer run.
What's happening with the birds is most interesting for me apart the whole demolition attraction that proved to be quite dusty and smoky. The birds' outrage of being caught off-guard in irregular forms of flocking certainly makes the moment observation-worthy. Nice documentation.
