I like the originals better than the crops, the crops are ok but for me they only make some sense after viewing the originals, if you had never seen the originals and just saw the crops they would be struggling for some kind of context or relevance to anything imho.

That was the point of making them abstract.
My crops were not intended to be an improvement of documentary shots but an attempt to show that other expressions existed inside of them.
Not everyone's cup of tea for sure.
