Rescue Me

This was few years ago in San Francisco Bay. This Pelican hooked a discarded fishline
and has been rescued by some good Samaritans. I believe it was illegal to handle those
Pelicans but these passers by thought saving the bird was more important. That pelican
would have starved to death since it could not open its gullet nor it could fly since the line
hooked the gullet and the wing.

This is definitely one of the many crimes of humanity against nature in which the human element doesn't realize what destruction it causes by casually leaving stuff behind where it doesn't belong. These things make my blood boil! Fortunately for this pelican it turned out all right.

Although it's not a fun subject to watch, these images do tell a story and send a message. Therefore I find these images to be very good! As an image of a bird, the second is the most appealing obviously.
