It's a lovely rose and the lighting is perfect it would be a corker if there wasn't so much noise. I have no idea what's caused it - it's like my camera performs at ISO 64 million.
Any ideas why?

Mick,
I think it is the high exposure setting (1/6400s) that caused the noise. I was going for a sharp
image and the breeze was causing movement of the flower.
With best regards,
Sury

"is the white sprinkle on the forest flowers, flash reflection or some kind of pollen?"
I think is a kind of reflection (of the flash light) from the fine structure of the petals (and some dust on it, there are traces of pollens at higher magnification). The whole plant is a bit raspy.

Both with A99 and SAL 28-75 - not perhaps the ideal close-up lens but handy when walking around
.
Nex 5, Nex 6 (IR), A7M2, A99 and a bunch of lenses.

Nice bokeh at 75mm for this 28-75. Definitely got to have it.

Andy's great use of the lens made you longing didn't it?
Buttery smooth bokeh in 'Soon' Andy. Good title too btw!

There are some great colours in those tulips JB. I particularly like pics 2 and 3.

I love the 2nd and 4th JB.
Nice flowers to "compete" with sunny California, Andy.
May be we should have a "posting match" on the blooms.

JB,
The fourth one looks almost like a painting, like the second one in your previous set
and it is meant as a compliment.

I agree with sury on the last image of the tulips. The bokeh on that one works really well!
