Brilliant shots all.
Thanks for sharing everyone.
I see the Snowdrops are back, Birma. Lovely shots. The weather must be very permissive...

Thanks Yildiz
The weather has been colder this week but only down to -3 or so. I think the Snowdrops are fine with the cold weather. They must have some in built anti-freeze

Still not a flower, but at least this one is colorful:

An amazingly succulent strawberry there Jcoffin. You can really see every detail. Very impressive 12 shot stack .

Thanks Birma. It turns out it looked better than it tasted -- it had frozen, so when I quit taking pictures, I ended up biting into a blog of mush. Until then, it looked nice though...

Marcell, may I presume it's with the "circular" light? Awesome.

The texture on the petals certainly makes it look like rim lighting. Definitely nice results regardless of how he got them though.

Yep, it was done by rim lighting. Just for comparison, here's a picture with the on-board flash:jcoffin wrote:The texture on the petals certainly makes it look like rim lighting. Definitely nice results regardless of how he got them though.

Well, I'm still chasing Snowdrops. I have missed my chances to capture these in the snow so far this year. I had to satisfy myself with Snowdrops without snow again today.

Hi Marcell, : )
Excelent use of the rim light once again. I love the shadowless shot.
Thanks for sharing.
Birma;
Nice to meet the snowdrops you went into cold weather for. : )
I like the performance of this lens; great clarity and details and of course the flowers themselves are very inspiring themselves.
Thanks for sharing,
Yildiz
