Three further beautiful shots Yildiz, bravo ! I have seen many Dandelion seed head shots and I think yours is superb. As with all three shots, the background is also complementary in form and colour. Thank you for sharing your approach - it is always useful to know how others go about creating the final image.

No shots from me lately because I dropped my a700 while it was attached to the 70-200 2.8. The camera is toast, the lens may have a shot of being fixed as the mount took the brunt of the damage. The replacement unit has been purchased on ebay and should arrive early next week. I promise you Yildiz that I will take some nice flower shots to add to this thread. I do concur with Dr. Harout that your recent shots do have an extra special quality.

I always protect the equipment with my body. The body heals on it's own, the equipment costs $$ to fix!

I have been away at work (could not check the images ). Every one of the submissions
is a piece of art, IMHO, and has something to offer from a learner (like me) point of view.
Whether it is composition, post processing technique or even the comments from the members.
Thank you all and I am ever so grateful to be amongst such an encouraging and nourishing
company. My apologies in advance if I have already posted this one.

Beautiful colour combination, Sury. Pale yellow long petals around a pale blue centre is sweet...

I suppose it's a type of Gazania. I never saw this colour before, so I'm not sure... : )

Hi Sury - that is a new one for me anyway . As Yildiz says, the colours are great on that flower. I also really like the background - it looks like a painting and the purple flowers are a nice contrast to the subject. Is the painterly feel to the background by design or a fortunate combination of lens and aperture?

Thank you. I would not know the name of the flower. It was from a visit to Butchart Gardens on Vancouver Island.

I wish I could say it is by design. I am an accidental photographer. It is just what the camera thought.

Shelika, as Yildiz says, the background on the first cactus shot is fabulous.

Sury, lovely delicate pink blooms.

Dusty, great vibrant colour in the first and third. It almost looks like the light is beaming out of the centre of the flowers - an interesting effect.
