Macro 2012

I attended a very useful workshop led by Celia Henderson as part of the Sony WPO thingy at Somerset House. Iused an A77 for this and Tamron 90mm



This i did the next day A900, Tamron 90mm + extension tube:-

I love the second one for sure. The first one is fantastic high key if it were cropped above the distracting
bottom half for my liking.

That second image is really great capo! Great choices in composition and for the B&W conversion.

Interesting abstracts caporip, the second is probably a touch more dramatic than the first (I think).

The first is almost like lookin at the sprinkled colourful icing on a white cream cake... a little closer and there would be no element in refence to a flower, I think. : )

And the second, as the others nicely put is a good study of B&W macro.

Stunning i so need to get a real macrolens.
Been looking at the Tamron AF SP 90/2,8 Di Macro and/or the Sigma EX 70/2,8 DG Macro any tips??

I'm biased towards the Tamron having never used the Sigma. I suspect the extra reach is a strong argument for the tamron. Incidentally Celia Henderson used the tamron before Sony provided the 100mm macro.

Very impressive! The shot of the elctrode array which is merely 1-2 mm is amazingly neat overall. Must be a powerful set up of lenses or the like.

Very nice pocket watch mechanism shot...I suppose it wasn't as tiny as the electrode but the wear and the scratches definitely shows.

I did not realize the "underwater" aspect till Yildiz mentioned. Nice shot caporip.
Very nice close up shots there Scott. I love the Integrated circuit package with wires for the composition.
That blue stone shot was very psychedelic, for sure.
