Its strange how people behave at times, the only neighbours that were within miles of the hut Murray had in the rainforest had dogs of course and they used to roam through the forest chasing anything they found while the owners were both at work. Murray told me the two dogs used to turn up at the hut sometimes panting from exertion and he would tie them up and take them back later. One of them disappeared one day, probably chased one Cassowary too many, the owners spent a weekend searching and calling, so he said, but no dog (good riddance).
I also remember Murray telling me about how the neighbours wife had remarked at how fast the Musky Rat Kangaroo could run when the dogs chased one (gee really, who would have thought?

), I wonder how many they caught though, that’s what would worry me. I only saw two in all the times I stayed at the hut.
