Thanks for the kind words, JBTaylor. You take good photos and we only tell the truth…
Sury, I like the last one better too. The other two have too many distractions in the shape of out-of-focus plant parts, in my opinion.
You can definitely use the 135 mm's focusing qualities much, much better as well as it's ability to produce good bokeh when the photo background is selected with choice.
Sury, thanks for sharing.

Every beautiful moment comes to an end until the next and flowers set a good example….
A nod to JBTaylor's and Sury's latest photos from the Yellow Asian Lily in vertical and landscape.

You should print these. I can feel the texture in the yellow. For some reason, I fail to get that result in yellows and reds.

JBTaylor's Red Lily from his previous post.
Hi, JT;
I think this shot of yours include some nice details but you are not close enough, maybe. The farthest red petal has some neat texture even though it's not fully in focus. The foliage probably creates an ambient light zone by casting away the harsher rays. Then again it could be the lens or some other reason!
I get these results in the ambiance of the early morning/evening light which doesn't wash away the details but instead just bounces off of the surfaces hence showing some fine texture details.
Thanks for the encouragement. I will make some prints.

I tend to shoot narrow and that costs me. It's a choice that favors bokeh over detail. I am seeking therapy.
Took the Minolta 100 2.8 Macro out for a test late this afternoon.

Excellent details in those Yellow Asian Lilies Yildiz. Agree that they are worth printing.
JT, is it my monitor or the images look a tad soft? Nice bokeh, never the less.

The wind was blowing on a rainy afternoon.
I threw caution into that wind. Sometimes we win. Sometimes not.
I also shoot from the hip or thigh using the tilt screen and sometimes on MF looking for the peaking colors.
Should and will take more time for the next round.

Hi, JBTaylor;
They are brilliant! The abundance of details may be due to the f-stop 2.8. The textures are amazing throughout.
Thank you for sharing.
Hi, Sury;
Wonderful Hydrangeas and set with crisp details and vivid colours. They are joyful!
Thank you for sharing,

Thank you Yildiz and JT. How about this one?
I put the 135 on a macro slider and did a pano. Though the whites are blown, it was looking absolutely beautiful with
sunlight streaming through the window from my left.

Interesting concept. Light rarely lets us wait.
I like the effort. What do you think?
Tonight's batch.
Daisies engage.
Trance educing.
Side view.
Experiment. Will have to use the tripod tomorrow to get this right.

Hi, JBTaylor;
Your daisies are just as pure as your lilies! I loved the daisy shots for their bird's eye captures where we see a whole universe. Fibonacci sequence is so clear and mesmerizing right there at the centre. These are so cleanly thought images…
I like the experimental last one. It may appear as crowded and chaotic without a design but it actually is clear that we are made to take notice of the beautiful little blossoms among a cheerful lot of a fine cluster. Like on a roller coaster the eyes are moving up and down to find the in-focus ones…
Thanks for these and keep us 'engaged' with your experiments.

Love them JT.
Love how the white/purple making the presence felt among Hydrangeas.
I have been struggling with this one til I saw JT's post and decided to share mine...
