My feeble attempt at redemption

Unread post by sury »

JT recently made a comment on "my take on CZ135f1.8 and flowers" on missing the focus on front petals of a flower.
So I took some more shots in an attempt to fix the problem while maintaining the bokeh that was acknowledged.

Though bokeh was not the factor here, I love how the delicate tendril like stemen (?) of this Cactus shows.

Here is the attempt at redemption....

Hi, Sury; :)

I like the third shot for positioning the leaves diagonally, for the bloom being in full light and for the background to smoothly disappear.
The first is too orthogonal for my taste but I like that the light falls from the top (mostly).
The second has this exotic blossom in the center that's lost among the many succulent foliage. A bokeh challenge there for sure that won't let the blossom to stand out in isolation.

You're getting there… :D

Thanks for sharing,
Yildiz
