I thought it was time to post a couple of images, I've been browsing here more frequently as a refuge from some of the antics on DPR and thought you might like to see a couple of recent images from this summers holiday in North Wales. Shots taken with A700 and KM 17- 35

I think your images were not uploaded or linked to your site. Please check it out.

I have converted your [img] addresses - which were illegal for this site as they link to image files without a size parameter - to URLs.

To link to pbase images, open your gallery as if browsing it, not editing it. The address should be an http:/www.pbase.com/ address with a file number at the end and no .jpg suffix.

Add to the end of this string: /large.jpg

Enclose in code

This will show a large JPEG which fits the 1024 x 1024 maximum allowed here.

It's a different posting procedure to DPR and I thought i'd done it correctly as the images showed in the preview before I pressed the submit button.

I haven't posted much here but I'm sure I'll learn.

Hi,

In my case, I can see them perfectly well...and they are very nice photos I must say.

There must be something wrong for some of the locations on Earth perhaps...Armenia and England, very far from eachother yet in part they are both effected!
Strange. Maybe there's an other work around?

Not at all, Yildiz. Now it is part fixed. Partly, because the second picture is just showing "creating thumbnails".
As for the 2 shots, I really love them. Beautiful scenery.

Thanks for your patience, I think I've fixed the display problem now (all down to me not following instructions properly!)

At least I can see them on my work PC as well as at home.

I changed one of your images (middle one) to /original.jpg

You can use that if the image is no more than 1024 x 1024 in size on pBase, but if it is larger than that, you must use /large.jpg

Because your middle image was under 1024 pixels, it was OK to use /original.jpg

and this meant the system was not confused trying to build a reduced size.

The pier shot was a single shot pseudo HDR using a photoshop plug in called Redynamix HDR, although the image had a lot of contrast to start with.

I also used an ND grad to balance the sky.

As for the Welsh place name, you really wouldn't want to hear a geordie trying to speak Welsh!
