My foray into B&W photography

Recently a friend of mine suggested that we should have a photography session focusing on B&W photography with flowers.
He was suggesting something a la Edward Weston style lillies (he introduced me to Edward Weston, btw). I always shot in color,
with the belief that I would have more options converting them to B&W using myriad options. But today I decided to let the camera
to the work and chose rich tone b&w from photo effects menu on my A99M2. I took both with flash and without flash as a part of my experiment in high key B&W experiment. As always, your feedback and opinions are most welcome and appreciated.
Same position but different exposure, aperture and shutter values.
