I like the choice for Mother's Day very much ...
It will be such a good print!

Thanks for sharing, JBTaylor,

.

Very nice! Californian weather conditions permitting these flowers are thriving nicely. :D
Especially the front yard is very picturesque due to colour combinations and the plant spreads ... like an abstract painting. :)

Your heart's vision is lovely, Jaya. ( I hope I remembered the name right! :) )

Thanks for sharing,
Yildiz

Thank you YIldiz and Jeff.
Yildiz, good memory, yes, Jaya is her name.

The next two images are almost identical in composition and exposure but with a difference. The first one was a challenge for the DR of the sensor. The yellow rose in sunshine and the red roses were in shadow.
Exposed for the roses in the shadow.
Image

This image has identical settings except I used a RGND filter where GND potion was over the yellow rose. The mid line of the filter was at an angle and you can see it just above the yellow rose running top left to bottom right. Exposed to the roses in the shadow.

.

I think RGND filter works for my eyes, Sury. :)
Somehow the second shot has that gradual light density and the fine, sharp details at the same time.
The first and third really suffer from overexposure or softness/loss of details, IMHO.

Yildiz,
Thank you. #1 overexposed the yellow rose, since I was trying to get the red roses in the shadow. I did the same with RGND where GND was on yellow rose with exposure settings more or less the same, to achieve the balance. Alternately, I could have exposed to the yellow rose and use a fill flash on the red roses.

Another example. Exposed to the grass in the foreground of the tree. Obviously, the sky is blown.

Two examples of RGND filter deployed.

I pulled in sky a little bit to get blue skies at the top edge of the RGND
