Very mouth watering. What is Shalgam water and what are black carrot sticks?

Thanks, Valery. CZ 1680 will always be a reliable favourite of mine.
Sury, thank you.
Shalgam is the Turkish word for Turnip. And, Shalgam water is a fermented beverage made with the mixture of Turnip slices, Black carrot - cut vertically to form sticks - Sea salt and filtered drinking water and a spoonful of bulgur to start the fermentation process.
The dark red colour is due to black carrot. You can actually see the carrot sticks in the glasses in my photo. The carrot was darker but the colour bled into water as fermentation took place and became a deep red instead.
The taste of the Turnip water after fermentation is sour-salty and is usually served with kebabs. It's healthy and eases the digestion process when fatty grilled meats are consumed. Easy to make when ingredients are available but can be bought bottled from markets as well.

(Photos are from the internet. I don't have black carrots or turnips at home at the moment to photograph.)

You're very welcome, Sury.
You can see the carrot sticks as they stick out of the glass in this photo. Usually served this way in its hometown ...

Grilled some wings yesterday.
Re: Food / 2021
They look really good, JBTaylor.
Appetizing but the lens has also done the image favours.
Thank you for sharing,

Ahh, grilled wings. It's lunch time. Not the best time to look at photos of food. Or maybe it is the best time.

A kind of fruit salad - pretty non-fattening...
Just pine apple, banana, apple, kiwi, avocado, mango, orange, nuts, raisins, grated coconut and bitter chocolate and lemon juice .
ILCE 6000 and CZ 1680

* new frame; changed the photo due to too much contrast.

Agree with JT. It looks too good to be eaten. I would have felt better if it is fattening.
